Description
Choice 1847-O Seated Half
Only One Finer Coin at PCGS
1847-O 50C MS64 PCGS. CAC. More than 2.5 million Seated
Liberty half dollars were struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1847,
but the issue circulated extensively and examples in Mint State
condition are rare. This attractive Choice example displays
well-detailed design elements, with just a touch of softness on the
stars. The pleasing surfaces radiate satiny mint luster and show a
few traces of golden-tan toning. Population: 3 in 64, 1 finer
(10/12).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24HB, PCGS# 6259, GSID# 6324)
