Description
1849 50C AU58 NGC. This is a decidedly scarce Philadelphia Mint issue in higher grades, despite its substantial original mintage of more than 1.25 million coins. This near-Mint specimen has a satiny, somewhat muted appearance, with medium-gray color that is modified by speckled olive patina, mainly near the borders. Boldly struck and abrasion-free.
