    Near-Gem 1849-O Half

    1849-O 50C MS64 NGC. An important condition rarity among O-mint Halves, only two Gems have been certified in higher grades by either of the major services. This piece shows finely chiseled central devices with softly defined peripheral details. Golden-rose and lilac toning is swirled across the obverse with more even light golden patina on the reverse.
