Description

1852 50C XF40 PCGS. The 1852 Seated Liberty half dollar is even more difficult to locate than its small mintage of 77,130 pieces would suggest. It is likely that many specimens were melted after the weight change in 1853. This well-detailed example retains traces of mint luster, under greenish-gold and lavender-gray toning. Population: 4 in 40, 71 finer (6/12).(Registry values: N1793)
