Description

1852 50C AU58 ANACS. WB-101. Normal Date. A great many of the 77,130 pieces produced were melted after the 7% weight reduction went into effect for all subsidiary coinage the following year, making this a scarce and usually expensive coin when located in high grades. The surfaces are light golden, the striking details are well defined in most areas, and most of the mint luster is still intact on each side.
From the Tommy Dorathy Collection of Seated Halves.
