1852-O 50C AU58 PCGS. This well defined near-Mint example is richly toned in steel-gray, aquamarine, and straw-gold. The only mark of any relevance is relegated near the final A in AMERICA. Only 144,000 pieces were struck, and presumably a large portion of the mintage was melted by bullion speculators. Population: 4 in 58, 3 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N991)
