Description
Mint State 1853 Arrows and Rays Half Dollar
1853 50C Arrows and Rays MS 62 PCGS. Always in demand for type purposes, this is a rather well struck example. A few clashmarks (as struck) are noted on both sides, but the curiously abrasion-free features would easily garner at least a Select grade were it not for muted luster quality. The champagne-apricot patina is largely confined to the obverse. From the Dr. Jeff Hosford Collection.
