Description
1853 50C Arrows and Rays MS62 PCGS. CAC. UNITED STATES is die doubled, most clearly on the E in UNITED. Probably FS-50-1853-801 (former FS-004.7), although the Cherrypickers' Guide lists four doubled die reverses with similar diagnostics. Splashes of sea-green and peach toning enrich the subdued but smooth surfaces. A popular single-year type.From The Classic Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
