Description
1853 50C Arrows and Rays MS62 PCGS. This boldly defined Mint State example has frosty silver luster with no evidence of toning on either side. An interesting curving die crack runs from an old clash mark in the field to Liberty's left (facing) hand and around the shield to the rock below. the sandal and back to the rim. The clashing apparently weakened the die at that point, resulting in the subsequent crack. An ideal piece for the collector who desires a combination of quality and price.Ex: Chicago Signature (Heritage, 8/2011), lot 3971.(Registry values: N2998)
