Impressive 1853 Arrows and Rays Half, MS64

1853 50C Arrows and Rays MS64 PCGS. A one-year type coin, the 1853 Arrows and Rays coins (both quarters and half dollars) are extremely important and rare. A slightly reduced weight meant that these coins began to circulate more freely, with the result that few have survived in Mint State grades. This lovely piece is mostly silver-white, with a crescent of deep lilac on the obverse and peripheral gold on the reverse.(Registry values: N4719)
