Description
Impressive 1853-O Arrows Half
1853-O Arrows and Rays MS 63 NGC. Unlike its Philadelphia counterpart, the 1853-O was not saved in large numbers by the general public and it is an especially elusive issue in mint condition. Only 7 pieces have been certified in MS 63 by NGC with another 6 in higher grades (11/98)--a tiny number of high-grade survivors out of the mintage of 1.3 million. Attractively toned in russet and magenta with some light, scattered marks to account for the grade. An important, high-grade survivor of this rare issue.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24JK, PCGS# 6276, GSID# 6331)
