Description
1853-O 50C Arrows and Rays AU50 NGC. From a sharp strike, with only very slight wear. The luster is especially vibrant on the reverse. The obverse has been struck from a clashed die. The obverse stars and lower reverse legends show heavy die abrasion doubling, as struck. A small scrape on the chest of Liberty is mentioned for accuracy. A popular one-year type, with the O-mint variety much more scarce.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24JK, PCGS# 6276, GSID# 6331)
