1854 Arrows Half, Near-Gem Level of Preservation
1854 50C Arrows MS 64 PCGS. Rich olive-gray and lavender-gray iridescence envelops the obverse, although the reverse is somewhat lighter with blushes of near-brilliance intermingled throughout. The otherwise powerful strike wanes markedly over the star centrils. Lustrous, the underlying surfaces display a few wispy contact marks that rule out an MS 65 designation. Nonetheless, this is a lovely representation of this popular type.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24JL, PCGS# 6279, GSID# 6272)
