Description

Better-Date 1855 Arrows Half, MS64

1855 50C Arrows MS64 PCGS. Despite being a P-mint, the 1855 Arrows issue had a mintage less than one-third that of the 1854 Arrows, and it is a better date even if sometimes confused as a type coin. This piece is mostly silver-white, decorated with light touches of orange near the rims and a few minor abrasions that preclude a Gem grade. The piquant Slanted 5s add to the interest. Population: 11 in 64, 5 finer (5/11).(Registry values: N2998)
