Description
1855/54 50C Arrows--Cleaned--ANACS. Unc Details, Net AU50. WB-102. FS-005. First Die Pair. Three obverses show evidence of an overdate. This is the most prominent with a full 1855/1854 showing. The 8 shows pronounced repunching above the final location of that digit, the first 5 has minor repunching, but the second 5 shows strong evidence of the crossbar of the previous year's 4 in the upper portion of the loop. Sharply defined in the centers with some peripheral weakness seen on the stars. Mostly brilliant still from the cleaning.
From the Tommy Dorathy Collection of Seated Halves.
