Description

Radiant Near-Gem 1855-O Arrows Half
Strongly Struck

1855-O 50C Arrows MS64 PCGS. CAC. The combination of the Arrows subtype and the New Orleans mintmark makes this issue, along with the 1854-O Arrows halves, popular type coins, and both are fortunately available in high Mint State grades due to their large mintages. This near-Gem boasts radiant luster over golden obverse surfaces, with lightly tinged gold at the rims on the reverse. The piece is nearly fully struck, save only for minor softness on a couple of the obverse stars. Population: 58 in 64, 21 finer (6/10).(Registry values: N2998)
