Impressive Gem 1856-O Seated Half Dollar
1856-O 50C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Breen-4868, WB-103. The 56 in the date is noticeably repunched. Impressively produced, with razor-sharp details noted on Liberty's head and hair; and on the eagle's neck, shield, leg feathers and talons. A light coating of original brownish-gray and greenish-tan patina across each side is illuminated by vibrant luster. Surface marks are minimal, with a short, shallow pinscratch observed out from between the bases of TE in UNITED, into the left reverse field. Population: 6 in 65, 2 finer (9/08).
