Important Gem 1856-O Seated Liberty Half
1856-O 50C MS 65 NGC. An important condition rarity, this pristine Gem numbers itself among the finest certified survivors of the issue. The otherwise lavender-gray iridescence exhibits intense, multicolored undertones on both sides. Sharply struck, especially for an O-mint half, the surfaces easily support the MS 65 grade. NGC and PCGS combined report only 11 examples in MS 65 with none finer (9/99).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24HP, PCGS# 6288, GSID# 6336)
