Elusive Near-Gem 1858-O Half
1858-O 50C MS 64 NGC. Half dollar production at the New Orleans Mint remained strong in 1858, but Choice representatives are surprisingly scarce in today's market. Predominantly steel-gray in color, the surfaces display irregular olive patina that is most noticeable near the rims. A satiny coin with some claim to a full Gem grade.
