Description
Magnificently Toned Gem 1860 Half Dollar
1860 MS 65 PCGS. Well struck, the irrepressible mint luster is overlaid by several coatings of blue, rose, and sea-green toning and yet the original sheen is still abundantly evident. Sharply struck in most areas with no detracting marks. An important gem half dollar that has remained in this lofty condition since the closing days of James Buchanan's term as president.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24J3, PCGS# 6299, GSID# 6278)
