1861 Seated Liberty Half, MS65+
Attractive Multicolor Toning
1861 50C MS65+ PCGS. CAC. The first year of the Civil War
saw a large mintage of nearly 2.9 million Seated Liberty half
dollars produced at the Philadelphia Mint, but few specimens have
survived with the high technical quality and outstanding visual
appeal of the present coin. This high-end Gem is well-detailed and
lustrous, with attractive shades of gold and blue toning.
