Likely a CSA Issue

1861-O 50C MS65 PCGS. A well struck chestnut-gold and stone-gray Gem with unabraded and lustrous surfaces. The present half dollar was likely struck by New Orleans prior to the seizure of the facility by the state of Louisiana. The reverse is from Randal E. Wiley's Die B (Gobrecht Journal, 11/2005) while the obverse die is unlisted in that article. Population: 9 in 65, 5 finer (4/13).(Registry values: N2998)
