1861-S 50C MS64 PCGS. Nearly 1 million examples of this issue were struck this year, yet Choice and Gem Mint State survivors are rarely seen. This lovely near-Gem has even, frosty mint luster beneath medium gold color with specks of darker toning on both sides.
