Description
1863 50C AU58 ANACS. WB-101. Clashed Dies. WB-101. Normal Date. We are not quite sure what ANACS saw on this coin when they labeled it as "Clashed Dies." There is no evidence of die clashing on either side. However, there are several horizontal scratches in the right obverse field that need to be pointed out. The otherwise brilliant surfaces show just a bit of light golden-brown peripheral color. Sharply struck.
From the Tommy Dorathy Collection of Seated Halves.
