Attractive Natural Toning

1865 50C MS64 PCGS. CAC. WB-101. Attractive overall steel-gray color and shimmering luster provide this near-Gem with a high degree of visual appeal. Closer examination reveals large areas of aqua and golden-orange toning, with aqua predominant on the obverse and golden-orange on the reverse. A number of tiny gray-brown spots are present on the obverse. The coin displays a pleasing degree of detail aside from minor incompleteness at the upper portion of the eagle's right wing. Population: 10 in 64, 16 finer (1/15).(Registry values: N1793)
