Description
Conditionally Scarce 1869-S Half, MS63
1869-S 50C MS63 PCGS. Coruscant luster swirls around the refreshingly unmarked fields and devices. The striking details are strong overall in spite of minor softness on the centers of the right-side stars. Although the 1869-S mintage was fairly generous at 656,000 pieces, Uncirculated survivors are rare because of the widespread popularity of silver and gold coinage in the West. Population: 4 in 63, 8 finer (1/10).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24JY, PCGS# 6326, GSID# 6356)
