1869-S Half Dollar, MS65
Conditionally Scarce
1869-S 50C MS65 NGC. An essentially brilliant Gem with
dazzling cartwheel luster and a well preserved reverse. Minor
contact is noted on the obverse field and Liberty's limbs, but this
does not deny the obvious eye appeal. The strike is bold in the
centers, although some peripheral elements exhibit moderate
incompleteness. Not a low mintage issue, but rare in any
Uncirculated grade. Census: 5 in 65, 4 finer (3/14).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2006), lot 2730, which realized $4,312.50.(Registry values: N4719)
