Description

The placement of the mintmark is below the crotch formed by the feather tip and the olive stem--one of two reverse dies to have the mintmark punched in this position. The lustrous surfaces are lightly toned and the devices sharply defined throughout. Another very scarce S-mint from the 1860s.
