Lovely 1870 Seated Half, MS64
1870 50C MS64 NGC. A gorgeous near-Gem, this 1870 half dollar approaches the finest available quality for the date. NGC and PCGS have combined to certify just 10 examples in MS64, with only seven finer pieces. This specimen is deeply toned with rich gold and iridescent toning on the obverse and lighter gold on the reverse. The surfaces are frosty and highly lustrous.
