Scarce 1870-CC Half Dollar, VF30
1870-CC 50C VF30 PCGS. Struck during the first year of coinage at Carson City, the 1870-CC is much scarcer than suggested by its mintage of 54,617 pieces. The well defined present piece shows the letters LIRTY and the top of the B in LIBERTY. Dove-gray surfaces are smooth aside from minor faded field marks near the left (facing) elbow.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24K2, PCGS# 6328, GSID# 6357)
