Description
1871 50C MS62 NGC. WB-103. Repunched First 1. This piece shows crisp repunching above the base of the 1, and the diagnostic die line is apparent between the denticles and the left upright of the M on the reverse. Another R.7 variety from this year in Uncirculated grades. The fields are bright and prooflike and sparkle even beneath the rich overlay of golden-brown toning that covers each side, deepening to russet and blue at the margins.
From the Tommy Dorathy Collection of Seated Halves.
