Description

1872-CC 50C VF35 PCGS. Like most other Carson City halves, the 1872-CC is typically seen heavily circulated, and even a Choice Very Fine example ranks among the finer pieces. A glance at the Population Report shows just how scarce this issue is in any grade. Gunmetal-gray toning covers both sides, with darker areas around the rims. This evenly worn example has no noteworthy marks and would make an excellent representative. Population: 7 in 35, 48 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N991)
