Description

1872-CC 50C AU 58 PCGS. Somewhat scarcer than the 1871-CC in high grades, the 1872-CC boasts an original mintage of only 257,000 pieces. This is a satiny coin whose surfaces are bathed in light champagne-gray patina. Were it not for trivial rub across the highpoints, this smooth example would easily qualify for at least an MS 63 grade.
