Description
Rare Mint State 1872-S Half Dollar, MS62
1872-S 50C MS62 PCGS. The '72-S ranks among the most elusive dates among all San Francisco Mint Seated half dollars, as indicated by the PCGS population data. This piece is fully brilliant with frosty silver luster and a trace of light gold toning near the borders. Most design elements are sharply detailed, although a few stars are flat, and weakness is evident on Liberty's leg. Population: 4 in 62, 10 finer (8/07).From The Beau Clerc Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
