Description
Impressive Golden Toned Gem Mint State 1873 With Arrows Seated Half
1873 50C Arrows MS65 PCGS. A very elusive type coin to find in full Gem grades, and this one is exceptional. Note the delicate toning on the upper obverse where flecks of gold and blue reside, the balance of the coin shows light to medium gold near the rims. Fully struck by the dies, with sharp details on all the stars and Liberty, the only weakness seen is on the eagle's claws and this is very minor indeed. A rare and precious type coin which is very difficult to find so well preserved, and this particular one will be difficult to beat. The NGC and PCGS population reports show 16 pieces graded this high with six coins graded higher of this date and type.(#6343) (Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24L7, PCGS# 6343, GSID# 6293)
