About Uncirculated 1873-CC Arrows Half Dollar

1873-CC 50C Arrows AU 53 NGC. The popularity of this issue stems from three factors. First, the '73-CC is one of only six issues of the Arrows, Motto type. Second, only 214,500 pieces were originally produced, most of which probably saw extensive circulation. Finally, the allure of the CC mintmark confirms the importance of this issue among the numerous collectors who specialize in this branch mint. This is a well defined, lightly abraded example whose surfaces are toned in dappled olive-gray shades. A group of small indentations in the left obverse field are noted for accuracy.
