Well Defined 1873-CC Arrows Half in AU53

1873-CC 50C Arrows AU53 NGC. The 1873-CC is one of only two CC-mint issues of the Arrows, Motto type, and it is also a rare date with just 214,560 pieces produced. Circulated examples that approach or pierce the Mint State threshold are particularly elusive and always in demand among specialists. This coin retains more than 50% of the original luster, although it is subdued at a few angles by cloudy silver-gray and champagne patina. The number of wispy abrasions is consistent with a circulated Half Dollar from the frontier era.
