Superior 1874 Arrows Half Dollar
1874 50C Arrows MS 65 PCGS. We are not sure whether it this coin's fulsome frosty luster or its essentially mark-free surfaces that have done more to net the desirable MS 65 grade. Of course, the razor sharp striking definition also deserves special consideration when evaluating this example's technical merits. Suffice it to say that this lovely piece meets every demanding criteria of the Gem level. The eye appeal is equally impressive with pleasing cartwheel effects beneath delicate champagne-silver iridescence. The second year of this two-year type, this P-mint survivor should be of obvious importance to the advanced type collector. Population: 11 in 65, with a mere 2 finer (6/00).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24LA, PCGS# 6346, GSID# 6294)
