Description

Condition Rarity 1875-CC Half Dollar

1875-CC 50C MS64 NGC. Although not among the rarer CC-mint issues in this series, the 1875-CC is more difficult to locate than both the 1876-CC and the 1877-CC, particularly in the finer Mint State grades. This is a nicely frosted example with solid luster quality and a sharp strike that is free of criticism. Dappled orange-russet patina overlays the reverse and the obverse periphery. There are no bagmarks that are worthy of individual mention. Population: 15 in 64, with a mere two finer (5/01).
From the Genaitis Collection of 1875 Coinage.
