Description

1876-CC 50C --Cleaned--ANACS. AU Details, Net XF45. WB-103. Large Mintmark. This coin is from the reverse die that shows a die crack through RICA in AMERICA on the reverse. A much scarcer variety and one that is seldom seen any finer than XF with Wiley-Bugert giving the 103 a low R.5 rating in XF/AU, only 2-3 pieces are known in Mint State. Sharply struck, the surfaces are generally untoned and have a light haze over each side.
From the Tommy Dorathy Collection of Seated Halves.
