Description
1877 50C AU50 ANACS. Unlisted in WB. Unlisted in Flynn. Not an MPD-001, there are several possible digits in the denticles, but nothing is conclusive. However, the diagnostic die cracks for MPD-001 are present on the last four stars on the obverse, and through S OF AMERICA on the reverse, which would indicate this reverse was married with two MPD obverses. Sharply struck, each side has deep golden-rose toning in the centers with bright bands of blue peripheral color.
