Popular Near-Gem 1877-CC Half
1877-CC 50C MS64 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. A richly patinated obverse is the most memorable feature of this near-Gem CC-mint half dollar. Russet coloration dominates the fields, with steel-blue toning at the peripheries and central device. The reverse is rich steel-gray aside from russet-gold near the rims. Precisely struck and well preserved with noticeable luster and good eye appeal. Population: 39 in 64, 19 finer (2/09).Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 10/2008), lot 917, which realized $2,760.
