Description
Sharply Struck 1877-S Gem Half Dollar
1877-S 50C MS65 NGC. Type Two Reverse, which shows a closed bud. Moderately frosted, sharply struck design motifs are set off by the partially prooflike fields. The essentially untoned obverse cedes to whispers of faint sky-blue and light brown at the reverse margins. A few grade-consistent handling marks are visible over each side.
