1878 Half Dollar, MS65 Prooflike
Mirrored Fields, Rich Brown Toning

1878 50C MS65 Prooflike NGC. As of (6/14), NGC has certified only two 1878 half dollars as Prooflike, the present Gem and an MS61 example. The unmarked fields are flashy despite a deep blanket of golden-russet and forest-green toning. The high points exhibit only moderate incompleteness of strike.
