Description
1879 50C MS 61. Brilliant and lustrous, with moderate abrasions that limit the grade. The fields are quite prooflike, and the coin has an impressive look for a low grade Mint State example. From this issue forward, all Seated half dollars were low mintage issues, with the single exception of the 1891. Just 5,900 halves were struck in 1879.
