1882 Half Dollar, MS65
Low Business Strike Mintage
1882 50C MS65 NGC. Since essentially all of the 5,500
business strikes can be considered "first strikes," almost all
known examples have reflective fields to some degree. The mirroring
on this piece is significant, but its brightness is dampened
somewhat by the rich violet, rose, and emerald-green toning seen
over each side. The strike is strong throughout, as expected, and
there are no mentionable or noticeable abrasions. Census: 8 in 65,
