Description

1885 Seated Half Dollar, MS67
Low Mintage, Colorful Toning
Among the Finest Certified

1885 50C WB-101 MS67 PCGS Secure. Only 6,130 Seated Liberty half dollars were coined in 1885 (all at the Philadelphia Mint), and this delightful example ranks among the finest survivors at both services combined. The design elements are pinpoint-sharp, and virtually pristine surfaces are blanketed in original shades of blue, violet, green, and gold patina. Vibrant mint luster shines through the toning, furthering the aesthetic appeal. Destined for an advanced collection. PCGS shows six Superb Gems at the top of the Population Report, but that total is certainly inflated by resubmissions (10/18).
