Gem Business Strike 1888 Half
Seldom Seen So Fine
1888 50C MS65 PCGS. The mintage of business strike Seated
halves in 1888 went up to 12,001 pieces, but it is difficult
to find a Gem example such as the present piece. Mottled gray-blue
toning is scattered about each side, complementing the strong
underlying mint luster. The surfaces are relatively unmarked,
consistent with the grade. Population: 22 in 65, 21 finer
