1890 Seated Half, MS66
Prooflike Circulation Strike
1890 50C MS66 PCGS. A strong strike is very nearly full for
this 1890 half including a sharp impression of seated Liberty,
fully brought up stars, and a well-plumed eagle. The fields have
only trivial abrasions despite prooflike reflectivity that tends to
accentuate any flaw. Frosted devices display pleasing contrast with
the lustrous, reflective fields. This is a high-quality, Premium
Gem circulation strike not often seen in this condition -- just
12,000 business strikes were produced. Population: 11 in 66 (1 in
