Description
Three-Coin 1861-O 50C Die Progression Set NGC. All three coins are housed in a single large-size NGC holder, and are presumably ex: S.S. Republic, though undesignated as such on the NGC insert. The coins are ungraded and display varying degrees of granularity from exposure to seawater. Coin #1, WB-101, Die Pair 2, R.5, was struck by the State of Louisiana, Coin #2, WB-102, Die Pair 11, R.3, was struck by the C.S.A., and Coin #3, FS-401, WB-102, Die Pair 11, R.3, with the famous vertical "Confederate Crack" up from Liberty's nose, was struck by the C.S.A. Accompanied by a mahogany presentation case and three certificates of authenticity.From The Coco Collection.
